Plastic wrap, cling film, gladwrap – whatever you want to call it, it is everywhere. We use it to wrap sandwiches, fruit, snacks, leftovers, take-a-plates, cheese, baking, you name it, we can wrap it.
It is a yearly tradition in our house to make gingerbread houses at the beginning of the Christmas season. The kids (and me!) love making them and they sit on the bench until Christmas smelling divine and looking festive.
Our new kitchen is starting to come together on the Piwakawaka Valley Homestead. All it needs now are some aged timber shelves. I recon the heart of the home truly is the kitchen, and have I joked with my hubby that we have really built a kitchen with a table and couch area in it rather than an open plan living/kitchen/dining.
Our new kitchen will have open shelves for much of the pantry storage. What a great opportunity for pretty tins and mason jars!
